Google has recently launched a tool to assist in the removal of reviews that you have already escalated.
Google states that
“Reviews that violate the Google review policies can be removed from Business profiles on Google”
This does not mean any review you don’t like can be removed. If a review is in breach of Google policies this new tool can expedite the process of having it removed.
Examples of breaches may be:
- Mistaken identity review. Where an individual inadvertently writes a review on your Google My Business listing that was intended for another business.
- Disgruntled ex-employees posting reviews.
See a comprehensive list here of content that breach this policy.
To manage your reviews ensure you are logged in to your Google account on chrome and visit this page and then follow the prompts.
It is worth noting that this is not currently working if you have a large number of business profiles in your Google My Business console.
