In the last 24 hours Google has rolled out some pretty major changes to its Google My Business platform. Google My Business is what many people commonly refer to as ‘Google Maps’ or just ‘Google+’. One of the most imperative things for you to check in your Google My Business account is the accuracy of your address. We have seen businesses with minor address discrepancies, i.e. the absence of a level, lot, suite or studio number, be relocated back to a previous known and verified address. Other changes include your business description, which must come in at 200 characters or less, you need to give your map marker its own label and you might need to review your business’s categories. We strongly suggest you log into your Google My Business listing and review your details. If you are getting error messages for any part of your profile, address them immediately.

Our opinion is this is just the beginning of further Google My Business changes and all businesses need to stay informed and follow instructions as they arise.

What’s happening

Karl has finally starred in his very own TV show. One of our clients and Rutland St neighbours, Robot Army, filmed Karl dishing out his favourite kind of news: Google news. Karl wrote his own script and Robot Army’s videographers made the magic happen. We’re looking forward to seeing the result of this video plus others we are having made and look forward to sharing them with you.
