Recent figures released by the National Australia Bank (NAB) and reported on by Eli Greenblat for The Age National website, may surprise you.

We welcome this sort of evidence because for a long time now we have been pushing out the message that “if you’re not online, you’re invisible.” Obviously not completely, but to the ever-growing online audience? Certainly.
It’s naïve to think people aren’t looking for you online because chances are, they are. No matter what their age. And let’s face it, in many circumstances (not all) the over-65s have more time and money. So there’s no reason why they wouldn’t be engaging with the highly-interactive and easily-accessible online world. And clearly, according to this evidence, they are.
If your audience (or at least part of your audience) falls into the over-65 age group and you don’t have a website because you don’t think you need one, now is your golden opportunity to capitalise on what is currently the fastest-growing contributing age group to online sales.
