Q: Where do I start if I want a website for my business? 

A: At Goop we provide domain name registration, website design and development, website hosting, content management systems and ongoing support. We will get your business on line by providing:

• a web address (a domain name, e.g. yourbusiness.com.au)
• a website
• hosting (a secure, high-speed server to store your website files)
• a user-friendly system where your site can be upgraded and maintained
• email accounts (e.g. info@yourbusiness.com.au)

Q: What is a Domain name?

A: It is a technical term for the address of a particular website (the word sequences users enter in their URL bar to visit your site). The domain name tells your browser where to look to access the pages you want to see. Ideally, your domain name should be easy to remember and spell, clearly state what you do and protect your brand or company name. If you have already registered a domain name, there is no need to change it; we can build your site, using the domain name of your choice. You can also have more than one domain name.

Q: I am not a computer person, does this matter?

A: Computer technology and use can be a mystery to many people. Here at Goop we aim to give you the knowledge as to why our websites will work for you. You do not need to know the how if you don't want to. Any upgrades or alterations of the site can be undertaken by our staff. If you want, we can guide you through changes, otherwise leave it to us.

Q: Do you design my website for me?

A: Yes. Goop realise some businesses are getting a website for the first time. We can work with you to incorporate a logo for your business and any particular style you may be after. Goop works with you to create a website design to suit your particular business' needs. 

Q: What services do you offer?

A: At Goop we provide a range of website services including - website design and website management, website hosting, domain name registration, on-going support for your site, personalised service from people who understand small business.

Q: How will people find my web site on the Internet?

A: If your business is plumbing in Bendigo, someone will look up Bendigo plumber and, with Goop's website development, our aim is to have your business ranking highly on the first page of Google. 

Q: Do you write my website text for me?

A: We can write your website content for you based on information about your business. Alternatively you can provide us content and we will adjust this to ensure search engine visibility.

Q: You're in Geelong and I'm not. Is that a problem?

A: No. We have developed sites for clients throughout Australia, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Perth and the Sunshine Coast. Your location is irrelevant as far as our ability to provide a website that works for your business.
